pictures not showing: Hi i went to look thru my pictures on my camera but they do not show up. it says this file is empty. But when i put my camera card in the computor they are there.

Hi i went to look thru my pictures on my camera but they do not show up. it says this file is empty. But when i put my camera card in the computor they are there. Can some one tell me why i can get them to show up on my camera? Thanks

Maybe you can tell us what camera you have?

Step 1 - copy those images immediately onto your computer
Step 2 - tell us more about both the type of camera and card involved
Step 3 - consider reformatting the card and test whether the problem is resolved
Step 3a - consider using another card and see if the problem is specific to the card involved
Step 3b - test various ideas presented by UHH

Strange. If you've used the card in a different camera without formatting it in the current camera, it would have a folder for each card. Still, the camera should find its own folder automatically. Does the computer show different folders within the DCIM folder?

When you insert the card in the computer, is there only one folder (subdirectory) showing? I thought I had lost photos on a card once and found that a second folder had been created and all my pictures were in the second folder. Just a thought.
