While my wife & I were at the Farmer's Market I notice a couple of old Packards out on display at the nearby Packard Proving Grounds. Decided to wander over and take a couple pics. Bad part of the day; almost high noon but they came out better than expected. Don't know years of the cars but though the car buffs in our group might like seeing them anyway. Shot at 400ISO, F8, & differing shutter speeds. Some post processing and cropped. Included are some original buildings and the main gate. Some years ago the place was in pretty bad shape but a non-profit organization purchased & refurbished it and now it is a events venue, museum etc.
Very nice. Thank you for sharing these.
Located in Shelby Twp., MI about 30 miles NE of Detroit.

Really nice rides, and really nice pix. Back 'in the day' (could've been back before cameras had been invented, but others would know more about that than me) a couple of buddies and I used to clandestinely climb a wall at Ford Motor Co's test track wall in Dearborn and watch the latest HiPer (and yeah, lesser models, too) Mustangs and Fairlanes and such get put through their paces. Pretty sure it was a result of something somebody put in the water that made us newly-driver's licensed kids Pavlovian-ishly attracted to cars, but maybe it was simple Detroit-o-genetics, and I've never been sure which was what. Glad to see somebody has preserved a bit of what Detroit/MoTown was, back in the bad old days. Thanks! Damn near bought a '36 Packard back in '63. My dad was up for the idea, anyhow. And we had the space to park it next to my '29 Model A. Shoulda/woulda/coulda....

Nice pics and good compositions especially the first one! Nice!
But I am curious as to what led you to choose iso 400 given “almost high noon” direct sunlight?
Actually I didn't "choose" ISO 400. It was what was on the camera from a previous shoot. Grabbed the camera going
out the door not really planning to shoot anything.
Still after all these years, these cars still look good. Nicely taken.
Just noticed that the last two are the same shot. How the h***l did that happen? Guess I was tired when I posted these.
Excellent! Nice discovery.

So if you were not planning to shot you carried the camer for extra weight and for the exercise? ;)
Good for you for taking your camera!
