Nice shots but to me seem a bit on the fuzzy side of focus. Could be camera shake if you were using a long lens. Photoshop has an adjustment for camera shake. You can find it under 'enhance' on 'expert setting' of Adobe Elements 15 it's labeled 'auto shake reduction' . What shutter speed and what lens did you use? I think they also have a manual adjustment somewhere under the 'enhance' section. I chased one of these birds for 4 hours one day. So I can under stand camera shake from excitement or from too low a camera shutter speed. I hate to say it but sometimes I take too high an ISO to insure I get a shot with a long lens so that I can up the shutter speed. It might up the noise a bit but getting the shot counts.
I agree with drklrd it's a nice set but the focus is soft. I see by your exif you were at 1/50 second on the last one. Is that correct? If so, it's much too slow for bird photography and probably caused the focus issue. Even on a tripod, mirror slap is possible. Again, they are nice images, otherwise. Keep at it. Looking forward to more.
I have been trying to capture a Heron but unsuccessful.Hes shy and wary .your photos are awesome
Beautiful love the last one
