I don't think that it's officially on the market yet, but soon. It's 25mm-3000mm range has my attention. How about you?
It seems to have some other rather interesting features as well. If it were to continue where the P900 left off, this could be a very interesting camera. Your thoughts?

Interesting and tempting since, unlike the P900, it can save pics in RAW "NRW" 12-bit files .

I think it's actually 24mm-3000mm. All the more amazing.

I agree, it's almost impossibly amazing. However, something just seems wrong to me to have a body bigger than a D750, almost as big as a D850, with a big cannon of a lens on front imaging onto a tiny 1/2.3" Point&Shoot sensor. A bit of cognitive dissonance for my tiny brain. I guess we'll see how popular it turns out to be.

Since I can no longer get around with my Sigma Sport 150-600 I'm looking forward to this.

Be prepared for the combination of the tiny sensor and fuzzy images at 3000mm to frustrate a whole bunch of users....regardless of raw capability.

Yes, I agree. I sold a Nikon earlier version P&S for that reason and went to the D7xx, then D8xx series with the pro lenses. When the weight got to be too much, I went to Sony a7III and smaller lenses, but with the pixels available, I can crop a lot! That removes the noise. If anyone wants to see how the pix are, look in Street Photography today, and heading "Why Nashville?" for photojournalism of Nashville "Lower Broad" street scenes. All handheld.

It's almost double in price of my P900

Same size as the P900. Very small. 1/2.3" (~ 6.16 x 4.62 mm)

Take a look at the (hand held) bird photo in this thread that was taken with a P900. View the download and then magnify and view the bird from top to toes. Not even close to fuzzy. It looks incredibly sharp.

Although I can’t get clear, hand-held shots at the extreme, I still use my P900 a lot because it’s fine up to 800mm or so. But, don’t even think about serious cropping.

To get the camera to zoom out to 3000 mm they have put in a smaller sensor. If you plan on enlargements larger than say 11X14 it may be an issue. Otherwise I think your your OK.

1/2.3 inches should be 24X20mm.
