NOT wanting to follow the typical surf shot look ..I purposely put my own spin on them ..post edited the way I want them .. over cooked . too much sharpening., too much contrast . etc .., again as in the past .. using a D850 and a 200-500 5.6 ... distance 200 yards offshore ...Tripod..gimbal and electronic remote ..
These will simply not do, Doc. There'd be a chance that they'd be acceptable if you had processed them the same way I'd have processed them --or in lieu of that, by Typical Surf Shot Rules-- but otherwise, there's just no hope, and you should ship your D850 and 200-500mm lens to me straightaway for 're-education.'
That's the good news. The bad news is that you already KNOW I'm NOT being serious. (Which shouldn't preclude that part about shipping and the D850 and the lens, of course.) Shoot the way you want to shoot, and process the way you want to process. If you're confident in presenting imagery the way YOU want to present it, then I'll defend your choices all day long.
Fun to view, Dr. N.Nice shots. No.#4 looks retro .
I think all of them showed off the artistry of the surfers. Isn't that what its' all about?
I love'em all! Nice work!
I like what you’ve done with these.
Bravo! To me, photography is about the joy of the capture, the creativity of the presentation and the satisfaction of sharing. Your images embody all of these things ie: we are of the same mind. 😃
You really nailed the action in this series!
