That is so easy to say but you are totally wrong with the exception of Chicago! In most cases, where guns are legal the crime rate is reduced. In cases where guns are illegal, the good guys are the only ones that don't have them. Go figure!

Bear in mind that there are no border control stations when entering American cities. Anyone can buy guns in Indiana where gun laws are lax and just drive into Chicago.

To buy a gun legally in any state one has to go through a background check. If one takes that gun illegally to another state he is committing a felony. Criminals, of course, are not bothered by this since they don't obey the laws anyway.

Keeping guns away from law abiding citizens doesn't stop criminals from having guns. They don't need to go on a road trip to get more guns...they are plentiful in Chicago.
