I'll be the first to reply. The composition and the lighting creates a visual tension that I really like. I would title it "The musician and his muse." I love the contrasting textures and emotional content. He looks focused and totally into his performance. His muse looks a little uncertain and vulnerable. Really, really nice.

Great concept, but the expression on her face is a bit like she is asking the photographer, “Is this where you want my hands?” She needs to “feel the music” more to make it a great photo. Do you have more from this shooting where her expression might be more interesting?

Was this a composite? The lighting doesn't make sense.

A composite of two pics shot 10 years apart that I just put together.
It's really hard to make it convincingly realistic so I think the thing to do is add an artistic effect and go with "the musician and his muse" idea. Thanks for that.

It is well done and interesting. She is a little more soft than he is - you might lessen the sharpness on his photo. The placement of her legs looks like he would be tripping her. But - we are just being really nit-picky because that is what we do. The concept and the results are very interesting and eye-catching.

To paraphrase the late great Johnny Carson: "I'll bet that makes his reed flutter"!

The tenor sax man looks like he had many interesting life experiences. Did he relate any to you ?
