FZ80 costs less than the older FZ70????

Just a question of possible reasons for charging less for an updated issue of a camera? Literally everywhere the Panasonic DMC FZ80 is selling for considerably less than its older brother, the FZ70?? Anybody know a reason(s) why?

Sell the new stuff.
Check the price of other cameras and you will see that phenomena there too.

This often happens during a sale or promotion. The FZ80 has been on sale recently for less than the normal asking price.

Pricing is arbitrary, and maybe Panasonic wants to get these cameras out in the world and have people start praising them. The new one looks good.
