Because of the late start this season, we only planted 5 tomato plants and as always, we they go into 1/2 barrels, but this didn't stop them from going wild!!!
When they start turning, we might just have to open up a farm stand!!

Excellent shots. I may have to try the barrel thing--first year ever the rabbits have chosen to eat my tomato plants!!!

Randy, everything I plant are in pots and these 1/2 barrels are from HomeDepot, plastic $22!! David drills holes on the lower sides, not underneath... we fill part way with styrofoam peanuts and then add the soil! We have 2 patios in one pot, 2 cherry and grape in another pot and beef steak in the third pot! All my flowers are in pots as well.... easy weeding and there's always room for more!! You should definitely give it a try... you can always put netting around them if you still have critter problems!

The tighter the plants, the more fruit you will get!!

Nice ones, Angela. There's nothing like home grown tomatoes.
