It really hurts to see beautiful old homes left to decay when so often with some effort (ok, a LOT of effort) they could be brought back to life. Antique architecture is irreplaceable.

It was once a rather grand house. It would take a fortune to restore it which I don't see happening as it is in a run-down part of town and directly across from a seedy bar.

My Grandmother taught school in a one room school house in rural Indiana in the early part of the 20th century. She always told us about those days.
