Seems that the only fuji camera that does not have price reductions every now and them (I missed one with $100 discount a month or so ago). But, the newer X-A3 & X-A5 do have some reductions.

Anyone care to guess why? Other than they just don't need to.

The X-A3 and the X-A5 are not X trans processors. They are Bayer Array. Everybody is hung up on X-trans. Difference is very slight. Also the A3 and A5 do not have EVF finders. Just LCD. Both however are the new 24 MP size. Sony makes both sensors, but Fujifilm is talking to Samsung on their EXCELLENT Sensors to replace Sony. May be a move to 28 Mp. The new XT100 is also NOT X-trans. It's also Bayer from Sony.

Hence reasons for the price fluctuations.

PS-very little guessing here. I do my homeworks. This shit is not hard to find out if you scrounge around.

Do you think Fuji will eventually move to Bayer arrays and IMHO screw up the color science as Sigma did with the Quattro; Images from the DP2 Merrill have more of that distinctive Foveon look that I , ( yes, I know, I am in a minority ), really like. I still lust for a DP2 and one day will find one in good shape and affordable.
