Thanks so much everyone! So nice to be part of such a helpful group! We definitely have raincoat (and rain pants) for the trip, and a few umbrellas too. Hopefully it won't rain every day, but some rain creates great photos and mood. I guess I'm going to pack all three lenses and my computer and see how I feel about the weight. Maybe my wife will carry on of them in her bag (80-200?). HaHa!
Here's our schedule:
Day 1: fly into Manchester and drive to Coventry, seeing a few sights on the way.
Day 2-4: we're in Bath.
Day 4-5: we're in Newport
Day 5-6: we're in Fishguard
Day 7-8: we're in Conwy
Day 9: heading back to Manchester for the night, then fly home.
These are only where the hotels are. We have a list of 6-8 places to see/visit each day, so we plan to talk to locals to choose which to see. So much to see there!
We leave USA on the 31st of July. I'll definitely post some pics after editing.
Thanks again!!!

Brilliant! Look forward to seeing the pictures. Enjoy.
We had a great time in Wales! Beautiful place and extremely nice people. Every day had an incredible sky, and it only rained the last day. The trip improved dramatically after the third day, when my wife finally stopped being nervous about me driving on the left side of the road.
Seriously, it was a wonderful trip. Friends told us not to bother with Stonehenge, but it was our favorite place. Got there early and on the first bus, so lots of shadow, beautiful sky, and few people.
I took well over 1,000 photos, so lots to edit. Here are just a few.

One important question. Does your wife want to go on a photo safari or a vacation? If vacation just take a small Mirrorless.
