How I make a portrait

I am posting this in this section because it is directly connected to photography discussions.
Below is a picture that I made using my methodology of creating a portrait.
The procedure is incredibly complex and I would be unable to do it justice trying to post it directly to our forum. Therefore I have placed a link to the e-book I have written on the subject so you may read it. I will be adding chapters to this but for now you can at least see how I do it.
This is how I do it if you do it differently please start your own topic rather than hijack mine. Thank you

I want to say this with all the respect deserved, it looks like you put a lot of time into that, and I appreciate you posting, but why did you use such low resolution pictures?

They look very poor quality in terms of sharpness, lighting, and even composition. The image included in the post is hazy and almost looks double exposed.

I suppose if you wanted to take the long way and drive 100 miles when the short and direct way is only 20 and it makes you happy, then go for it...............

The pictures were to demonstrate a technique and how to reach a goal.
The lead picture is a woman looking through a smoky fire.

Could you re-post the photo and hit "store" so we could see it enlarged? Thanks.

When you upload you have to check the box that says "store." Otherwise, it won't enlarge.

I tend to agree, sorry but for a portrait seems out of focus and very different.

I am no pro by any means but perhaps it is because it was done so differently I can't really figure out if I like it or not. However you are doing what you want to do and in the manner that you want. So it really makes no difference what I or anyone else says. Thank you for posting and letting us see it.

I agree Buddy, if he likes it and his clients like it who cares if I do or not.

Thank you, henrycrafter. I am interested in understanding and learning different photographic techniques.

I appreciate your sharing the information which will be added to my growing binder of info gleaned from respected photographers on UHH.
