skylinefirepest , actually, not much happened where I took that photo. The heat in the Phoenix area tends to evaporate the clouds as they approach the valley. What your seeing here is the closest most storms get before "disappearing". This is also why, as of the last several years, the storms we do get cause extensive damage to various locations throughout the valley.

Clearly B&W was the only way to go with this great photo. Living in Albuquerque, I also appreciate the tantalizing but ephemeral nature of these imposing clouds. I am working on my rain dance routine, but with little success this monsoon season.
