Ah, yes... those were the days...
... I too, have a shot of the Mississippi Queen... from 'bout 2011 or so, stacks down and stripped... near New Orleans, pushed like a barge along the Inland Waterway, headed for salvage. That was days before the "Deep Water Horizon" event. There was talk of fitting out the Queen as a floating bunkhouse for the thousands of field workers arriving to clean-up. Don't know that it happened... but, I've not seen her since...

She was sold for scrap shortly after that. This reminds me that I have several shots of her or similar riverboats shot from downtown Memphis in the 70's on Kodachrome. Must see if I can find them!
