Another photo from the water on my recent Russian River Cruise.
Don't know anything about this abbey, but it made an attractive photo (with a bit of glamour treatment).
Lots of religious structures in Russia. Predominant religion is Russian Orthodox.

Every city we passed on the rivers had at least one onion domed, Russian Orthodox church. Some were modest, and some were very splendid.
