Mesmerizing!
Whatever the red thing is, all diagonals of sand and clouds direct one's eyes right to it.

Lovely capture. Everything points in the general direction of the (I'm guessing here - an old fuel can) and the beat up nature of the can to the desolate feel of the scene. With the exception of one small stone I can't see anything else red in it.

The Turner connection is more obvious with this one Graham, did you dob it on as an afterthought, much the same as the Master was depicted doing in the film? It certainly improves the composition disproportionally to its size (in both cases)!

Thanks, It is an old fuel can probably lost or thrown from a fishing boat.

I accentuated any lines in the sand by dodging and burning, the same with the sky.

I'll reply to this one

Not dobbed on but I did up the red saturation somewhat

Very powerful. Seems a bit too saturated on my monitor.

Thanks Bob, the saturation is deliberate to give more impact.

+1 from me on this one. I like the saturation.

To my eye much better than your previous red object Photo you presented to FYC. Nice composition good color. No wondering of my eye on what I am looking at. The usual good shot that I expect from you. Nicely done.
