On the original post not only did I include the camera and lens, but if you click on each image it will take you to my Flick'r page where I leave in all the EXIF data.
But for simplicity sake, a D7000 and the 300mm F4 AF-S prime.

We are blessed here in the Chicagoland area with what the call "Forest Preserves" which is where these shots came from. There is a big drive towards native plants. It's freaking great. Not just the FPs, but bike paths, industrial parks, subdivisions. Native plants are "In".
I have a few milkweed plants that popped up in a most inconvenient place. A monarch came by and laid her eggs:

Her baby is in it's chrysalis in my kitchen right now. It's just amazing to watch this happen .
