My wife and I took a Road Scholar trip to Alaska on the Alaska State Ferry last year. Great trip!

Very nice. People who don't know about the Alaska State Ferry are really missing a good bet. It's cheap, comfortable, and thorough. We traveled from Seward, AK, to Bellingham, WA, and had a great time. We're not talking "luxury liner" here, but it's a great trip.

Enjoyable photo! Folks who don't take the AK ferry, don't have a clue as to what they MISS!!! While on board the ferry's, I spent most of my time on the outside deck. But it is the time you get to explore in the ports, WOW! And no crowds!
