Yup. Staying at the Island Inn? or did you simply decide to shoot from in front of it's porch? The building with the odd roofline (on the island opposite the harbor) is Danny Bates' house. Last I knew, Danny's son Orca still lives there. Ray Phillips' place (a.k.a. [celebrated, if notification on the front page of the New York Times on the event of your death is proof of celebrity] 'the hermit of Manana Island'), or what's left of it, is just below and to the left. On the skyline is the US Coast Guard Bell House. I seldom refer to 'Monhegan Island' any more. Usually just call it 'The Island.' Hope you are enjoying/enjoyed your time there. Its a very, very special place.
