The new Nikon 200-500mm f5.6E lens is really getting a workout. Today's subject was ducks in a local pond. My keeper rate is really getting seriously better. This lens is amazing! I need to purchase a polarizer for it next.
Photos 1, 2 and 3 are my favorites. Thank you for looking!

What Camera please. I am very close to selling my Canon gear and buying this lens and a Nikon body. I can sell my gear, buy this lens and a good Nikon "crop sensor" body and have some money for a medium quality "walk around lens".

I have the same lens and use it with my Nikon D500.

I love the lens too. I struggle with focus some at the longer focal lengths, but continue to practice technique. Ducks are great subjects to use for practice, lots of fun.

Great images. I would try a polarizer on this lens and it will cut down on the glare from the water by reducing the reflections. I would only get a B+W or a Singh-Ray brand though. They are pricey, but are the better ones in terms of having more light transmission and not losing f/stops. Since you spent the money for the lens, don't skimp and buy a cheaper polarizer

You have done justice to that lens/D750 combo.

Thank you for the comments regarding the lens. It has been a learning curve using this lens with it's size and weight.
