Denali and the Alaskan Range

Realizing that I had only posted the one photo of Denali and the incredible views offered to us on our Alaskan Tour, I now attempt to atone for my forgetfulness. The first 3 are from a Cessna 206 that my wife and I hired for an overflight tour. Our luck held while staying at Kantishna lodge in the Preserve. We got views of Denali four different days.

So that is what it looks like. Well done. We had to fly to see the peak.

vonzip, CPO, it is funny, but that one is my wife’s favorite too. It's tough for me to decide on the best one because I am still re-living the moments in my head all the time. Two weeks of memories. And Dave, the first 2 photos were on an overflying tour. But the last two were from Talkeetna. To be able to look out the window and see it with the full sun on its peaks was breathtaking. As I said, we were very lucky.

You were tremendously lucky. If I remember 40 percent or more don't get to see the mountain due to the cloud cover. I saw it and it is impressive. Next time we take a flight!

I think they said that only 30% of all the people who come there to see it ever do. Our guide was flabbergasted that we saw it on Four separate occasions. But the whole trip was like that, luck was there for each day. The day we arrived on Fox Island a whale breached right in front of the lodge at dinner. Then one came up right beside us when kayaking. That one I got a short video of. See attached file.

We went on a whale spotting tour out of Juneau. They told us that whales breeching in those waters was very rare. So you were lucky in seeing the mountain and seeing a whale breech. Would you accompany me to my next trip to the casino? Please???

When I go to Vegas I play the roulette wheel and do ok. But it only works for me when I’m alone. The minute someone goes with me to the table it all falls to crap.
