Female cardinal feeding a juvenile male

We saw this female cardinal feeding what we assumed is her juvenile son. It took us a while to figure out who was doing the feeding but it seems pretty clear that she is feeding him. If you look closely you can see that the male does not yet have his adult plumage.

Thank you all very much, I appreciate the nice feedback. I also took some hummingbird photos that I will post later (boy those little guys are fast).
