The male bluebird came in with a grasshopper and a praying mantis tried to steal it! Only to get taken to the ground and was then taken to the kids for lunch! The doe was leading the way along the shore of a local pond when she came to a downed tree and easily stepped over it! The first fawn hesitated and then jumped over to keep up with mom! The second fawn wasted no time after seeing the first one jump over and made a quick leap!
I find it quite funny that a praying mantis tried to steal from a bird 10 times his size. Nice captures. My husband and I went on a drive and saw about 11 deer in several different places. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me.

These are great shots. I really like the bird with the praying mantis.
I didn't see the mantis until I could bring it up on the big screen on my computer! I was to busy taking the shots to look at each one! Thanks!

That's the way it works a lot of the time. Good capture. vz
Like them both but the bird feeding the Praying Mantis is hilarious.
