'EasyRider' 2018

My first visit to biker night since April 2017. While standing around observing the crowd and enjoying the band I happen to see a lady place a stuffed animal on the seat of a bike parked near me. I thought "thats different",so I took a shot and this is my results. I did add the clouds because there were some distractions that I didn't approve of, so I suppose that makes this a composite. Thoughts and comments for any improvements would be appreciated.

Good eye and idea. The clouds' high contrast distracts a bit from the stuffed animal, and the distracting background is still on the right behind the bike. I think you would have a real winner with a bit more work in these areas.

You missed the free Giveawayoftheday yesterday. B&W Project 4 by Franze. B&W programs such as that by Franze [$20 from Ashampoo since Project 5 is out] and Topaz B&W 2, open a wide range of B&W variations ... try a 60day.

By the way, I like the title and the photo. The young will not know the movie... and the south has changed... or has it? Ford's new Trump Model Pickup Truck has a shotgun rack in the back window. " Mount the head of a brown skin in your den." is the club motto.

I guessed this would be yours as soon as I read the title Dave! Nice idea but think I’d go for a plainer sky - easy to change now you’ve done the hard work. Well spotted, and (your) signature processing makes this an interesting compo.
Are you still hankering after a Harley, or did you take the plunge already?

Thanks Bob !!! Always a work in progress. The original background was not appealing at all. I'll see what I can come up with.

Thanks dpullum !!! I'm always missing something.

I've seen the movie many times and I always wish that Jack Nicholson had a bigger part. Loved his character. Your right, the young won't know the movie, but I don't know of any youngins here at the HOG !!! Are there any?

Dave, there was a plainer sky but it had a couple of people that were a distraction so I changed it for that reason. Maybe something a little more subtle.

Yes, I'm still hankering after a Harley. Every time I get seriously thinking about getting one, and it never fails, there'll be an accident near me with a motorcycle and of course fatalities. So many nut jobs on the road anymore and I suppose I'm no exception.

Thanks for commenting, I really appreciate it.

The clouds are a nice touch. They are out of focus as they should be and they definitely look better than the distractions I can imagine were there. The bags and the tank have a mat look to them which I find very appealing. Most bags are shiny, so I'm guessing you applied some kind of magic to achieve the look. Looking at the edges for distractions, I noticed the last few letters of Harley Davidson rather than the whole logo. That and the fact that they are out of Focus creates a distraction for me. I would clone it out altogether since adding the rest of the logo would introduce too much of the rest of the bike and would take attention away from your rider. I guess you can tell that I like the photo very much.

This is very good Dave. I did something similar with a bike. The owner was close by and asked her to reposition the bike for a shot. She was happy to oblige and I said I would send here a digital file of the picture if she had an email for me to send it to. She gave it to me and after sending it to her she thanked me. I think the owner of this bike would like to have a copy of this picture.

Thanks Jim, I appreciate your suggestion and agree. However, I didn't get a good look of the lady that placed the stuff animal onto the seat of the bike. She was off and gone before I took the shot. I would be happy to send a copy if I only knew. I'm sure her placement and my procrastination of late thoughts played into the role of not knowing. Although, stranger things have happened I'm sure. I just came across someone I photographed on the streets 4 years ago and we remembered each other. Sad part, I didn't get an updated version.
