Fate Scuttled by La Vallette DD-448 October 7 1943.
54 of her crew were lost with the ship and remain on duty.

Thanks for the history behind her. My Grandfather had three ships shot out from under him in WWII in the Pacific, he was not on this one. Well, technically two ships and one boat. One Cruiser and one Destroyer. The boat was a a PT boat, without a second "boat" a ship is only a boat (hence submarines are only boats not ships typically).
