I purchased Lightroom 3 about 10 months ago and I have no clue as to what to do with it. Can anyone recommend a video tutorial? I have used Photoshop 8 but nothing extensive. Thanks in advance for your help.

This link is not a video but it should help:
http://www.photokaboom.com/_htm_menus/Lightroom_menu.htm Also google "Julieanne Kost" and it should display quite a few videos.

Adobe.com has numerous videos about Light room 3. Julianne Kost is one of the presenters as has been stated. Matt Kloskowski is another. There are also many available on YouTube. All of the above are free. George Jardine has some very good ones and the price is reasonable.. Googling Lightroom 3 tutorials will get you tons of them.
I also bought the Lightroom for Photographers book by Scott Kelby. I find out helpful to have a desk reference available when I get stuck.

Yes and Nat Coalson's "Lightroom 4" is also a very good read.
You might think of upgrading to LR4 as there are so many improvements, you can learn on the latest product instead of re-learning when you do upgrade as you most likely will.
JoelS...
Try searching Lightroom in YouTube.com
You could learn to overhaul your car in YouTube.
You'll find any number of things, including photoshop, too.
Generally they do one topic at a time.
Good Luck...

In the beginning, I didn't quite "get" Lightroom. Then someone said that is the digital equivalent of a darkroom. As soon as I started thinking of it as a darkroom, everything fell into place. It's also excellent for organizing, but I haven't used it for that yet. I am just beginning to get comfortable with it, so I will tell you my routine.
First, I click on Library > Import. Then I find the images on the hard drive and check the ones I want to import.
Second, I click on Develop. From there, I work my way down the right column. Under Tone, I adjust Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, Blacks.
Under Presence, I adjust Clarity, Vibrance, and Saturation. I move down to Detail and adjust Sharpening. Under Lens Correction, I click the "Enable Lens Corrections" box.
Then I press Ctrl-Shift-E and save it to disc, making adjustments to size and quality.
As I said, I am just a learner, and others will give you more details, but right now, this is working for me.

Thanks everyone, I have hope... thanks again!
I've had my copy of Lightroom fOr about 3 weeks and was completely overwhelmed as it is a huge program! I ran across a video tutorial program which I have gone through once and I highly recommend it. It's been on sale for under $40. You download the videos and they are all on your computer.
Check it out at steeletraining.com/tutorials. There are several "freebies" there to try out.
Good luck! Gandalphpsp

Thanks. Leave the "tutorials" off that link, and it works fine.
