How about an unusual Milkweed flower? There are a million kinds of orchids and it wouldn't surprise me if this an odd example, either.

This is a VERY COMMON flower that probably everyone has seen many times in their life. Grandpaw

First let me tell you that is about the size of a regular marble or a dime. I used three extension tubes and my 50mm lens to take this picture. Its is a common clover flower that you might find anywhere. it is amazing how much it changes in a close up. When I took this picture it was sitting on a 3 inch by 3 inch yellow sticky note laying on my computer keyboard. Taken handheld.
