Osprey chicks have dark reddish/brown eyes that slowly change to yellow until they are about a year old. This shot was taken Monday as they were being fed. Within a few minutes, another fish, minus the head, was delivered. Osprey typically catch their fish from behind and often "remove" the head.

Thank you much! Monitoring the osprey for Audubon went hand in hand with my photography efforts after retiring.
Thank you kindly! Practicing for next June and Yellowstone. Other than the Pica, most everything is bigger there, so I'll practice on the smaller stuff! LOL!
