Interesting. Back in the 60's when I started with a Nikon F, I was assure that in the future I would be able to use all my glass on future Nikon Cameras. So, all my glass with not work on their rumored new camera.
It did say a "very sophisticated F-mount adapter".

It's the electronic age. One can still use AIS MF lenses on all film cameras from F to F6, that's almost sixty years worth.

Just as you could use F-mount lenses with Nikon 1 via adapter.
No new Nikon camera for me.
