I have made a couple of posts recently on UHH but they do not appear in the section l have chosen in fact they do not appear anywhere, what am I doing wrong. I have just made a post titled "Preston Bus Station" in the Gallery section but it has never shown up, although 1 member has read it somehow.
Any ideas please.

There are also restrictions on size of images and such. Not sure if that had something to do with it. I had a similar problem...finally had admins just delete the post.

Posts don’t always go into the digest or into the section you’ve chosen. Sometimes you have to look in the “newest topics” section to find them. There are some folks who don’t look at the section choosings of admin and go straight to the newest topics sections. I always look there to see the things I might like that didn’t make it to the section postings.

I’ve posted lots of photos that didn’t make it into a particular section’s offering for the day but were always in the Newest Topics section.

You're mixing digest with "sections." Let me clarify

The email digest is a sampling of topics. It changes throughout the day, so someone in England may not see the same version as someone in California. Its content is also dependent on which sections you subscribe to.

"Newest topics" link at top of every UHH page is personalized for each user. It will contain every single topic posted to the sections you've chosen, with bold flag "new topic" in green 'til you open it. It is personalized because it will only show the forums to which you're subscribed.

For example, I am not subscribed to chit chat, so I don't see any of those topics in my "newest topics" list.

A user can always see their own topics by clicking on My Topics (another link at top of page), or anyone else's by clicking on their user name, or with the user search at top of page.

Topics always remain where you originally posted them, except if erroneously posted to the wrong forum, in which case either UHH admin or a section's moderator will move them (and will advise you of the move). And the rare case where admin removes from the site entirely due to ultra-bad behavior on the OP's part
