The Yellow Jackets were taking over the nectar feeder and this Hummer took issue with it, but one Jacket stood his ground and seems to be saying "Bring it on..."

Thanks. I just love the Jacket's pose, and it's the first time I've snapped a H'bird with his beak open wide. They are interesting critters.

It's been so dry here we have seen very few. Flowers are not blooming. Haven't see dragonflies or butterflies to speak of.

I can't decide if the Hummer is trying to scare the Jacket, or gettin' ready to attack it. I don't think he's thinking about eating it.
