Sun spots

I took a number of very good outside images of a house except they have a sun spot in some of them. I should have known better, I know. But now what would be the quickest, easiest way to edit that out and/or refill with background. I Know a little about PS CC - clone tool, healing brush but not so good at using them for this. They keep picking up not the spot I picked but a spot nearby to replace sun spot area, which won't work. Is anyone willing to help a total novice figure this out? Much appreciated thanks

You can't expect a useful answer to this unless you post the image. There are a number of ways to make things go away using Photoshop, depending on the circumstances.

And, it's probably even easier in LR using the spot removal tool, but that's said without seeing the complexity of an actual image being edited.

From Englert, Monica again. It's quite a ways away but maybe the best thing would be to reshoot in different lighting.?? Perhaps I should have told a little about myself. I was injured severely for the final time in 2004 and have been disabled ever since. Finances have gotten very tight due to the loss of a long term relationship. So I have only social security and am short each month. It was suggested to me to trying to retrain as a Real Estate photographer- something I think I can physically do. I've taken family and landscape pictures all my life. But never really used the full manual mode. It's a little hard to apply what I read and learn to the actual setting especially when taking indoor pictures. So much more to account for and learn about than I ever understood before, so many factors with lighting. I've been watching Nathan Cool's videos and learning all I can. I also took a course on PS CC. so that's kinda where I am now. But I really want to learn to do this exceptionally well. And present the customers with exceptional images. Any suggestions for further education and/or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Monica, I did a piece on removing lens flare in my blog a number of years ago. This is one way, but there are many others.

You have learned a valuable lesson. Try to shoot so that doesn't happen next time.

As others have written previously, an example included would help to determine the best option to fix the problem.
There are various ways to remove an object. The clone stamp tool. The patch tool and others.
You could always go to YouTube and type in "How to remove an object using Photoshop". You will fine stacks of example video's to assist in learning the various techniques.
But posting your picture here will give you a good idea as to which method will work best for that.

When you first create a new topic you select where it should go from the drop down menu.
Then you have a box where you type your information.
Now scroll down the page and you will see some options.
"Browse", when you click on that you go to where your example is located on your computer, once found you click on "Open". After a few seconds you will see the picture has been added to your post.
Next, you click on a small box that says "Store original" (Always good to check this box as members can view it at full size and give the best advice).
Then you click on the box that says "Add attachment"
Finally once all the above is done you click on "send".

Believe me, after the first time it is very easy and takes just a few seconds to do.

Now regarding this post you do the same. Only, because the topic has already been created you click on "Reply" then you scroll down again and you will see the options to attach a picture, the same as outlined above.
Good luck.
