I would like to introduce myself here. I currently reside in Southern Indiana across the Ohio River from Louisville Kentucky. I have lived here my entire life and while I have been all over the United States when I was working, for me there truly is no place like home. I retired due to an injury after an accident in 2005 where I ended up having surgery just to be able to walk again. I took up photography a couple years back when I purchased my Phantom 4 Pro and my Mavic Pro drones that are both made by DJI and discovered that I really enjoy it. My first camera was a Canon 70D that I really liked, but it was stolen along with my DJI Spark drone. So it took me a little bit but I purchased a Canon 80D about a month ago and I am now starting to use it more and more. I like photographing anything out my front door. However, my main targets are two of the prettiest granddaughters a man could ever wish for. I have been married for almost 31 years where my wife truly is my best friend. I have two kids and also am a grandparent “stand-in” for my brothers grandchildren by one of his sons as my brother has passed away. I am here to learn all I can. I retired from the Information Technology side with almost 30 years in that game. If you need help on a computer related issue, let me know and I will see what I can do. Sorry for the long intro, but once I get rolling, I can’t shut-up. Lol

Welcome from another Hoosier just a few miles north of you. Madison is a town I enjoy photographing plus some pretty landscape down by the "River"
Welcome -- good to know that there is another hog on the sunny side!
Everyone, I wanted to apologize for joining this extremely nice forum and not being able to access it as much as I would like. On top of having a super bad back, my heart causes me a lot of trouble as well. Open heart surgery, two heart attacks, one of which almost killed me, my heart randomly quits beating so I had a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted into my left chest/shoulder area. My heart makes walking any distance almost impossible due to all the meds I take, I cannot catch my breath despite never having smoked as much as one cigarette my entire 55 years on this planet. Lol. I have been going through a lot of pain due to medication issues and a lot of small blockages all through and around my heart. On their own, none are bad enough for stents or surgery, but when factored all together, I sometimes have a very, very uncomfortable time of it. However, I am starting to feel better so I am starting to get out and shoot some finally with my Canon 80D. Everyone on this forum has been so incredibly polite and respectful of any comments I have made, I just want to thank all of you for that and that I will hopefully be able to join in on here more. Thank you to the moderators and members of this forum, you have all been truly wonderful.
