Enjoying some liquid refreshment with my wife yesterday, I waited for the appropriate time to do my version of Manet's "The Bar at the Folies-Bergere."
Now if you could have excluded yourself from the scene as Manet did.....
. Other than that, the girl's forehead and nose need more work (unless she was hideously deformed in real life
). But the effect is still there - a glimpse of the reflection (the "other" world) contrasted with the barmaid representing the immediate reality.
I love this Bob. It is witty and I think well done. I don't mind that she needs a nose job.
Nice work Bob. Are you sure this didn't start as a selfie? I jest. It's a great concept and executed to perfection.
