Yay! A grain-free sky that I can approve of
. And a simple but effective composition. The result is very pleasant. I can imagine that your biggest challenge is making the featureless landscape look interesting (which you did).
That must be startling to first-time visitors as it appears to be plunked down in a sheep pasture
Interesting architecture with an appealing warm glow to the scene.
Very nice, Graham. It's certainly a bit out of the ordinary considering it's in colour. Good composition and really nice technique with the colours. It's also been awhile since I've seen you post anything.

I won't say much - I'm thinking Constable.
A lovely picture Graham, and unusual processing for you! The warmth certainly tells me its a sunset shot, although the colour may be a little overdone? I haven't been to Romney Marsh since the early sixties, when it was a favourite area on my Velocette Venom (motorcycle). Don't recall this church though - probably whizzed-by too quickly and missed the opportunity, but I undoubtedly had my Edixa SLR with me. (Still ruminating about India if you have any thoughts).
That is a beautiful photo, the church sitting there in all its simplicity. I am wavering between not changing a thing and cropping about a third of the grass off the bottom.

The composition is very nice. I enjoyed how you used the faint lane leading up to the bridge and then had us change direction and go to the church. Quite effective. Also an interesting looking church. Another very nice photograph.

Sorry to have been so tardy in responding to all of your kind comments.
The original image was quite flat, I gave the impression of directional lighting by dodging and burning the church. Also, I gave the grass a bit of interest using the same method.

I wouldn't have guessed if you hadn't said.

Hi, Graham,
Comfortably composed with understated saturation of the triad of color. Made for quiet meditation.
