HiAll
While Puccini was seducing me on headphones, It took a whole opera to work out the details of this idea from newly shot images. I hope all of you will give it a thought, and enjoy. Thanks for looking. RBorud
Beautiful. I wonder if the flute player might be a little less lost, perhaps moved up?

And possibly soften the flowers a bit. As it is the difference between the flowers and the flute player is to my eye just a bit too much and they don't look like they're part of the same image.
Hi, Russ,
I agree with R.G. that the flute player and the flowers appear as separate images, but my first thought was that your image is a snapshot of a mind in the midst of free association...the flautist - fading to BG with lesser saturation and contrast - has called forth (for whatever reason) the floral image with greater saturation and contrast...but still not an image of reality...and I am left wondering what thought/image the flowers will call forth...as it surely will in free association...?
I like it.
Dave
A lovely job. I like the effect of the flautist fading into the background, the separation gives depth - but the flowers (and the headband) could do with easing back a bit, as RG suggests, the colour is just a tad too strong. Nevertheless, what a super imaginative composite - love it!
It is always a treat to view the fruits of your highly creative mind, rborud!
I love this Image. It has great effects, strong composition and brings the thoughts of the Artist.
Thanks, Don
I love this as is..my first impression is that the more subtle flute player is giving life to the flowers and he is doing a great job of it. Once again your work amazes me, Russell!

While Puccini is a great choice, for this composition, I might have chosen Vivaldi. That notwithstanding the first thing I had to do was accept that someone would be playing a flute with a flower as an audience. That took a while; but it is your vision and your composition. What won me over was the use of light. So many different opacities and subtle work here. I think it is very good.

A very nice composition and blending of colors. I very much like the placement of the subject and flowers.

I see a Vase of flowers resting in front of a painting and just love the effect.
