Confirmed another species of bird in my backyard today!

Bullock's Oriole(s) now confirmed in my backyard. Two males based on markings so I will assume that at least some of the females that have been coming to my hummer feeders are Bullock's. Will have to watch and get pictures.
The first individual was through the glass of the sliding door, when I reached to open it he blasted off like he was out for a new speed record. This is the best shot I got through the glass. The second one stayed long enough for me to shoot 1 frame when I slid the door open. I used my 5DIV and 100-400L w. 1.4x III.
(When I see a new bird and the door is closed I always take some frames through the glass, just in case. Then I try to slid the door open and get some better shots.)

And if any of you think I should have been out in my blind on days that went over 100, well take about 20 more thinks. I am allergic to melting.
I had Heat Stroke/Sun Stroke/Heat Prostration whatever you call it once as a kid helping in the tobacco field of my Grandparent's farm back in the 50's. Didn't like it then, don't plan on doing a repeat if it can be at all avoided.
In Nam our unit made dire threats if we didn't keep hydrated and take salt tablets. We had one guy who had been on the New York City track team drop dead while jogging around the compound during a heat wave. And I once had a senior NCO look at me, hand me six salt tablets and two canteens of water and ordered me to down all of them while he watched to make sure I did.

Robert, that's a beautiful bird. With the extreme heat the west coast has been experiencing you should give them a break ... send them to Delaware for a few months,

Thanks
I don't think they would do well, not even express mail or overnight FedEx/UPS. If you have one of those refrigerated air freighters they use to bring in fresh strawberries from Chile during the winter then send it on over. But you have to persuade them to fly the 15 miles to the nearest air field that can handle the plane.

Nice bird pics. Just flag down a refrigerated semi and have them give it a ride. Just dont use prime as the bird may die of old age or boredom before it gets to delaware

Thank you.
I am seeing both Hooded and Bullock's Orioles today. And females, but they are so bland compared to the males and look so much like each other I can never be sure which species female I am seeing unless I take a picture with the tele and compare.
