Using the extension tube I found to be on the hard side since all photos I take are all handheld and trying to balance on uneven ground at my age, 84, was a little difficult and focusing wasn't that easy. These photos were shot from F2.8 to I think F8. and extremely close to the subjects. Hope you enjoy....Rich

I see you got the hang of the extension tubes!!! Nice set, Rich... I do love the softness of #1, but the last three are the winners for me. I usually use f4 on my velvet, I try going softer, but wind up deleting and it's funny, I like when I see images from others that are really soft and dreamy using f2 or 2.8.... but not when I do it.

Thank you very much as your comments are always very much appreciated. I think that sometimes we are to critical on ourselves as photographers but at the same time it helps us improve on our work. We should be less critical and then see more of the art of the photo. It seems that the more I look at the first one the more I start to enjoy it. Crazy I guess....Rich

You are so right, Rich.... and that's why it's fun to experiment and try new things!! I do love the effect on the first... soft and dreamy, just as the velvet is supposed to do!!
I don't know if you've ever looked on Flickr, but if you search Lensbaby velvet, or any other optic on their search bar, the work is so inspiring!!!

I will have to take a look. This manual tube extension set I bought was only $20 dollars and seems pretty darn good for that price.....Rich

I think that's about what I paid... I never used them until now, especially that my camera doesn't connect to it, so very much like the lensbabies.

Let me know what you think about flickr.... it's so much easier to navigate than on here and you can post however many pictures you want... and keep them organized in albums!

I just started to look at flicker and saw some of your photos but I'm not sure on how to post or even get my own account. I do like a lot of the photos with the LB photos. It does get the juices going to get out and take some pictures....Rich

Nice work, Rich! The daylily is my favorite--I like the color and composition of that one!
