Nikon D5000 Screen

Does any other Nikon camera have the articulating screen that the D5000 has. I love the fact that it is so helpful in other than normal shooting positions. I am looking into upgrading bodies and don't know which direction I want to go yet, but I love the screen versatility.

You could probably find which ones on the NikonUSA web site.

I have both of these cameras. These two screens do not articulate the same. The D5000 is much more versatile

I have the d5600 which I bought primarily because of the articulated screen. I am very pleased with it.

The D5300 also has the articulating screen in all directions.

I agree with the articulating screen on the D5xxx series. The older I get the harder it gets to bend down to near ground level & get back up; so I use that feature quite often.

The five D5xxx cameras all do.

Most of Nikons newest offerings have introduced flip screens: D7500, D500, D 850. Other non DSLRs do too.

Also the new cameras have touch screens. A big aid particularly for the D5xxx which uses the info screen for control...IMHO an innovative step up from the unreadable green screen and randomly placed (mostly unlighted) buttons on their more expensive cameras. At least the latest two of them (500 and 850) use lighted buttons.

PS: You see many D5xxx users on UHH who don’t know how to operate their cameras...they fumble with using menus instead of using the active info screen.
