Although the weather in Southern California was hot this morning, some of the wildlife was very accommodating. Other than some cropping, the hummingbird pictures are straight out of camera (Nikon D500; Nikkor 200-500 zoom). The American Avocets were aggressively guarding their nestling but aligned for this shot.

A very nice set! The SOOC hummingbirds are impressive. I just looked and enjoyed some of your previous posts, nice job with the Grebes. You are a new member to me and I hope to enjoy more of your SoCal wildlife shot, so welcome!
