Soccer players have to be the biggest fakers. When they go down you'd think that they would need to be carried off the field. 15 seconds later they're up playing.

Yeah, they always have been very winy people, but watching this years world cup, I have never seen it like this, they should start handing all them fakers red cards right from the start! Then if a team is reduced to 2 or 3 people, they may start to rethink that crap!

Russia v Croatia last night was a breath of fresh air. Some tackles went in there, players went down and then...................................got up again!
And those that stayed down for a few seconds seemed to have taken a genuine knock. Or were just fatigured as extra time progressed, having both played extra time in the previous round.

It is the number one sport in the world for a reason. I thought the same as you and then got hooked at age 40 and played for 20 years. The more you know about the game the better you will enjoy it.

I agree that Newmar is overrated and a drama queen. Messi is a great footballer but tends to psych himself out when he's at the big dance as we just witnessed, again. He must feel that he has to shoulder the burden of getting his country through to the finals with the expectations that that is what his countrymen expect him to do. Thus he sets himself up for failure.
