Awesome pics, Brent. Is it hard not to tip-over on the bike? And number 10; is that a surfing equivalent to a golfers hazard?

Action all the way here and view in the download a must.

Particularly like the first photograph, the contemplation on the
man's face speaks volumes with the words.
Well taken.

Nice work on all of these, and the red reflection in the first shot makes it exceptional.

You just reminded of how rocky the bottom is at Trestles as well as the other spots along that coast. Made my feet hurt. Nice stuff, again.

For photo #7 (the guy riding the bike with the surfboard attached)........the boards are so light now days the weight is not a factor. Also of note in the last few years more and more bikes like the #7 are the electric assist bikes. The guys buy the bikes with the fat tires to ride on the beach like this guy is doing. For Upper and Lower Trestles, the car parking area is a couple of miles away so more and more electric bikes are showing up.
Photo #10 is the typical bottom of the shoreline at Upper and Lower Trestles. It's one of the things that makes these particular breaks so consistent. Most all of the other surfing beaches that have sand bottoms change over time because of the shifting of the sand. The bottom is very important to how the waves break. So, to answer your question, Yeah.......I guess you could consider the rocks like a golfers hazard. Most all the surfers wear "surf leashes" which is a flexible strong rubber cord attached to the board and the surfer's ankle. This saves the surfer from a long swim and his board from getting dinged by the rocks.

Thanks so much Leicaflex for checking these photos out in download mode and seeing the quality of the photos. That surfer that you pointed out in #1 was also a very good surfer. I'm attaching 2 shots of that surfer in action.
