Each year on the 4th of July in Dana Point Harbor, California at the bridge to the island a huge water fight ensues. These photos help document as spectators watch from above the super soakers and buckets of water are launched in drenching passers by. It's all in fun.

The camera is not really waterproof but I did hide it under some towels in my kayak. I got lucky that I didn't get a bucket of water on me.

NOTHING matches the intensity of an All-American water-gun war! Hospital ERs rarely admit injuries caused by squirt guns. Ist responders never do. Nobody ruins their good clothes. There are NO teams. You never know for sure who shot you. There is an endless supply of free ammunition. Participation is semi-optionable. Great action shots Brent, thanx for sharing the fun.

TucsonCoyote, you are correct, I was in combat, HOWEVER, I did not have a weapon, and as I had to go under the bridge to get to my destination, I was a moving target for many of the water fighters. Since the weather was warm, the cool water felt good and I had my good camera under some towels in my kayak, so everything turned out ok! Thanks TucsonCoyote for your participation in this series.

David, you speak as though you are a true veteran of these kind of fun battles! Maybe next year you could visit Dana Point Harbor on the 4th of July and participate! Bring your waterproof camera!
