Changed the background

The background in the photo is of the subject’s house’s surroundings that I took before several of us went out to dinner. I took his picture at dinner, and thought he would prefer his green thumb’s work for a background over strangers sitting behind him.
Nikon D7200 Nikon 10-20mm for the background, 35mm for the subject. Manual settings and focus.

I would prefer the background to be shown as slightly out of focus. I think that the composite would be more believable.
