Looks like the ones in my Sibley - not in breeding color but off-season. You can clearly see the blue
on the wings. And as I said, black ducks barely get into Texas and not at all in the Rockport area. Maybe around Texarkana on occasion.

they are probably Mexican Mallards..Thats not a joke...

That I can go with - don't have them in my book, but they do look very close to either adult female or juvenile mallards. Thanks for the tip.
