Very nice shot... :D :D :D
I walked a fair chunk of that trail in the 70s and my mind was on the bears that were around, only time I looked up was to see if the food pack was still up between the trees!! Great shot!

Forest Fire! Framed nicely. Very nice.
I now have a title for this shot "Fire at Days End." Cool
Thanks for the input. Done the tree hanging thing quite a bit myself. How's the hiking in NZ?
Excellent....no bears or snakes!

nice shot... not sure where pinkham lodge hut is, must be up north... i've hiked from springer mtn., ga., to shenandoah valley, va. in the 70's... love the trail... wish i had hiked it all, but you know, too much crap that had to be done...had a kodak 110 piece of junk back then, but it was light... got a ton of pics...
Pinkham is in NH along the Franconia Ridge of the AT. On the Ridge you can see the Presidential Range and with real good eyesight, perhaps the Atlantic. Great hike. During my trek there was a morning mist that made getting to the ridge a bit difficult. Couldn't see where we were going initially. Rock trail markers helped.
