I Condemn Thee...
To Paparazzi Hell!!!
Seems to be having a bad feather day and doesn't like me or my camera. Does like my Nyjer seed (sold as thistle).
Maybe we need a funny/weird picture sub-forum?
Lovely capture needs to go to the bird parlour to unruffal his her feathers.
Does look out of sorts and grumpy. vz

Thank you
Looks like I feel in the morning before I have my coffee.
I wonder if a tiny little coffee/tea brewing machine and supply of little cups next to the feeder would help?

Might have been a very tired fledgling. I have a lot in the yard lately - they sort of flutter/stagger in and perch somewhere, an adult will go to the feeder and bring seed back to them until they get the idea and fly to the feeder, then like this one they will often just sort of collapse on the perch and eat for a long time. Then when they fly off they often land on the ground or fly into something and knock themselves silly.
My little Jack Russell Tara has discovered two things:
1. They are little protein snacks, the feathers are crunchy but enough chewing and you can mash them down into a blob of meat and feathers and swallow them.
2. They are fairly easy to catch, esp the ones that fly into something and knock themselves silly and/or break their neck, wing etc.
They do create one problem - Tara will beg for a treat out of habit then sniff and lick it and leave it on the floor with a "my tummy is full" look.
