Those are really fine images. Until now I thought tri-colored herons fell into the Great Blue Heron category.

Wonderful shots !!!! Did you take these at the reserve on Merritt Island? My mom lives in Melbourne & we drove thru the reserve ..... Can't wait to go back a LOT earlier in the day! :-)

Thanks. I took these at Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands at Viera. A great place you should also visit when in the area. If conditions are dry you can drive through it, otherwise it's open to foot traffic only. Call 321-255-4488 to find out if it is open to cars. I do shoot often at the reserve. If you go back to the reserve be sure to go through Peacock's Pocket. It's better than Black Point drive.
