Got 28 out of 30 and still watch the Carson reruns. Many of the political jokes in his monologues still apply today.

That segment of the Johnny Carson show was tasteless but doesn't rise to the despicable CRAP that present day late night show hosts do ad infinitum. I no longer watch ANY late night (non) comedy shows. Steve Allen was sophomoric but not vicious about the president and he had a REAL band (led by Doc Severinsen) not the sh*t that the present musicians play.

Johnny was an egomaniac. Always had to be better than his guests. He was nothing but a glorified game show host.

Carson, in his private life, was said to be very shy and troubled...quite the opposite of his persona portrayed on his show.
